Currently, I'm appraising antique rugs, consulting and facilitating the sale and purchase of both antique and contemporary rugs to a diverse group of private clients and interior designers in the New York metropolitan area.
I graduated from the NYU Appraisal Program of Decorative and Fine Arts specializing in antique rugs and am USPAP compliant. I'm also an affiliate of the American Appraisers Association and a member of the NY chapter of the Hajji Baba Rug Club. I also serve on the board of the Larchmont Historical Society.
I've enjoyed stints at Christie’s auction house in their rug department and honed my social carpet skills at the Winter Antiques Show in Manhattan.

Above: Cleopatra and Caesar by Jean-Léon Gérôme, a portion of which I used for my title image. Below is The Carpet Merchant by the same late 19th-century artist. He was a powerful academician and respected professor at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris until the advent of the modernist avant-garde destroyed his career.

Books I adore...
You bought the carpet, now learn what to put on it, a must read visual tribute to Mark Hampton written by his wife Duane.
Gorgeous imagery, rugs and more, a truly inspirational book.
